Arson attack in West Mills

Police are appealing for information following an arson attack on a house in West Mills, Newbury, on Sunday 3 September.

Between 12.15am and 2.15am petrol was poured through the letter box and then set it alight; causing the front door to catch fire.

DC Greg Hulse, of Newbury CID, said: “This is a very concerning crime in which a house was set on fire with the residents inside. Police would like to talk to anyone with information about this matter. They may have seen someone suspicious in the West Mills area that night or people coming or going late on Saturday 2 September or early on Sunday 3 September.”
