| Newbury MP Richard Benyon joined Town Mayor, Gillian Durrant, in cutting the ribbon to mark the refurbishment of Newbury’s famous department store.
At a reception following the event Richard said,
“I would like to pay tribute to the board and management of Camp Hopson for their courageous decision to invest in this exciting refurbishment. It is a great vote of confidence in the future of Newbury as a retail centre.
There can be few towns with the opportunity that Newbury now has, with the Parkway development and all the other schemes around our town. Camp Hopson is a key landmark and it is right that it should be at the vanguard of this new stage in the towns development.”
Richard also paid tribute to the staff who have worked so well through all the building works. |
