| POLICE are investigating an incident in which a man was pushed into the canal and lost his £400 pair of glasses.
The incident happened in West Mills, Newbury, at 2.30am on 25 September and the 33-year-old victim, who lives in the town, attended the front counter at the town’s police station to report the incident.
He was walking alone alongside the canal when he was approached by a group of youths who began speaking to him and pushed him in the water. He got out uninjured but shaken and realised he had also lost his glasses.
