| Police are appealing for witnesses to an armed robbery at the Comet store in Newbury.
Two offenders, brandishing weapons, forced their way in to the store, in London Road, as two male staff locked up at 8.15pm on Thursday.
They stole money from the safe before making off in a blue Ford Ka which was later abandoned behind Pets at Home in Faraday Road.
The Comet workers, who will not be named, were left shaken but uninjured in the incident. The offenders are described as white, in their late teens or early 20s and 6ft.
DC Chris Pullen, from Newbury CID is leading the investigation. He is keen to speak to anyone who may have seen the offenders waiting near Comet before or who witnessed them dumping the car.
