Newbury parking safe as houses

Newbury’s two multistorey car parks have received a Safer Parking accolade for efforts to cut crime and nuisance behaviour. The Northbrook Street and Kennet Centre car parks were rated among the safest in the country, and West Berkshire Councillor Emma Webster said: "The safety of our car park customers is paramount and we are delighted to have achieved Safer Parking status.

We hope that customers using these two multi-storey car parks will be reassured by the knowledge that they are using Park Mark Safer Parking facility and feel safer in the knowledge that the area has been vetted by the Police who consider that precautions have been taken to create a safer parking environment."
