West Berkshire Lib Dems have been named one of the best sets of councillors in the country.

The Local Government Association praised West Berkshire’s Liberal Democrat Councillors for the way they make decisions, involve the public, and for for efforts to increase recycling and reduce congestion.

Local Lib Dems were runner-up for the best group and best green group categories, and leader Royce Longton said: “To win second place in the only two categories of these awards in a phenomenal achievement. I feel this is a testament to how in touch with the electorate the Liberal Democrats are, how innovative and competent the Council is, and how this Council is improving year-on-year under the leadership of the Lib Dems.”
