| Lorraine Kelly asks “Have you got what it takes to be an MP?”
Lorraine Kelly and a film crew from Mentorn Television will be in Newbury today (17th November) giving out flyers and application forms to anyone who is interested in taking part in a new television show.
Lorraine will be in Newbury from 2.00pm onwards and is expected to visit Northbrook Street, Market Place and Kennet Shopping
Vote for Me, presented by Jonathan Maitland, offers every one of Britain’s voters who is eligible, the chance to take part in a series of televised challenges to test whether they can make it to Westminster.
Volunteer entrants will only be eligible if they have no affiliation with any party that qualifies for party election broadcasts. An independent panel, free of party allegiance, will judge the entrants and select the final shortlist of ten.
Viewers will then be invited to vote for the entrant they consider most suitable, eliminating each finalist until the winner emerges. The successful entrant is free to stand as a candidate in any one of the United Kingdom’s 659 constituencies, |
