Maxine Carr - Rumours Denied
03rd November 2004 15.43pm

Thames Valley Police have issued the following statement:

"Although it is not the policy of Thames Valley Police or Thames Valley Probation Area to routinely confirm or deny the location and movements of anyone under direct probation super-vision and/or under the supervision of a local MARMM (Multi- Agency Risk Management Meeting), a number of calls to police from concerned local residents means it is felt necessary, for the safety of innocent members of the public, to issue the following information:

"Rumours which claim Maxine Carr has been rehoused in the Newbury area are completely unfounded. There is no truth in these stories and people are asked not to fuel such gossip by passing it on."
