The Comedian covers the story of Jimmy Baker, who at the peak of his career who confronts his ghosts, his remarkable daughter and his love for life over a cold weekend in a seaside town. Tale of the century
Newbury Museum’s excellent display of life in the town during the English Civil War finishes tomorrow, but is well worth perusing if you have a spare hour. With costumes, trinkets and military paraphernalia collected from the two battles of Newbury, the team have recreated Stuart-era England. Free entry, and the Museum in the Wharf is open 10-4.
