Countdown to showtime
13th September 2004 12.13pm

The biggest event in Newbury’s social calendar takes place this weekend when up to 70,000 people will descend on Chieveley for the Newbury Show.

With new traffic arrangements, extra attractions and nice weather on the cards, your favourite community website has been busy putting together an online survival guide to help you get the most from the two day extravaganza.

Newbury.net editor Brian Burgess said: “There are so many stands and attractions that it can be difficult to know where to start, so we hope our survival guide will be useful for those who want to get in and out quickly, as well as those who want to browse.”

Tickets are available on the day for £11, or in advance from Newbury Building Society in Northbrook Street for £9. However, show organisers have stopped taking credit card bookings, as they can’t guarantee they will arrive in the post.

Newbury.net will keep you informed of all the latest developments, as they happen.
