Newtown Road will be closed to traffic between Pound Street and St John’s Roundabout from 6.00 am Saturday to late Sunday night on the weekend of 14th to 15th August and the weekend of 21st to 22nd August.
Diversion routes will be signed and access will be maintained to residents and businesses in Newtown Road. The closure is to enable construction of the traffic calming plateau in Newtown Road adjacent to St John’s Roundabout.
At the same time Millar Homes will be laying their sewer connection across Newtown Road to the new housing development at the former Christian Science Church.
