A rare view indeed as previously the Hovis mill covered the view from the early 1900's up till it was demolished.

The first photograph between 1972 and 1981.

The postcard probably about 1910. It is certainly after 1892 as the old mill was gutted by fire in that year and this view shows the 'new' mill which was demolished in 1972. The millers house appears to have survived the fire as the bay windowed building which appears to be covered in ivy is shown unchanged in much earlier pictures.
