Wednesday 17th October till Saturday 20th October- The Newbury Michaelmas Fair
Held at Northcroft Park, this annual event will be opened on Wednesday 17th by the Mayor of Newbury at 6.00pm. The event runs Wednesday thru till Saturday with a gigantic firework display at 9.00pm on Friday 19th. An occasion not to be missed.
 
Saturday 20th October - Ploughing Match - Strouds Farm, Lambourn.
Organised by the Newbury & Distict Agricultural Society. Come to Strouds Farm at Lambourn, Berkshire, to watch 75 local ploughing champions battle it out for a place in the national championships.
As well as enjoying demonstrations of the traditional methods, marvel at the latest multi-furrow ploughing units – or take part in a clay pigeon shoot. More information from www.newburyshowground.co.uk
